What is E-Venture Cycles Cymru?
With E-bikes now making riding more accessible for people it didn’t take long to realise that you get more time on the parts of your local trails or Bike Parks that you love because you spent less time pushing or riding up the climbs.
 
We soon Realised the cost for the main brands of E-bike were rising out of control, knowing that once you had an E-bike your previous bike would be left gathering dust loaded with expensive after market parts we looked for a Frameset option so customers could build their own custom E-bike and re-use those parts whilst saving several thousand pounds in the process
 
We have partnered with Markhor Cycles to bring you both the Kunlun E-bike and the Foxcat 170 MTB, they are a major company in the Asian market and their brand ethos is a perfect fit for ours.

Who Are Markhor?

Our company was founded from our passion for mountain biking, engineering and racing, paired with a liking for design and applied art.

We are a workshop producing mountain biking frames out of carbon fibre, aerospace aluminium. Originally, we also made fully aluminium bikes. We also do research and development work concerning the use of biocomposites in bike frame production.

We are a small company with excellent equipment, high flexibility and an innovative approach towards design, geometry and suspension. The MARKHOR team is a well-oiled machine consisting of specialists working together for years, making up our own family. Our customers receive products of highest possible quality, thanks to all of our components being produced in-house. We are focused on providing a personal touch and executing unique projects.

The frames made by MARKHOR are characterized by acclaimed suspension platforms, always individually designed for the needs of a certain discipline.

We take pride in the exquisite aesthetics of our frames’ finish. We love working with the customer to create a one of a kind product together.

Production Quality

All companies have quality control, but to us quality is extra important as we view it as the main pillar of our work. Each person producing a single piece of the frame is a master of their work and passionate about it, too. The quality comes through in every aspect of our activity; every piece of the frame is made in-house.

Raw Unique Materials

We are proud of the structure of our carbon-fibre weave. While many companies cover up the imperfections of their Far East-made products with paint, we take pride in our perfect twill weave. We avoid using fully covering paint jobs and encourage our customers to choose a raw finish or a 50/50 hybrid paint with the weave peeking through.

Custom Touch

An essential part of the finished product is the paint scheme. We always encourage our customers to allow the carbon fibre weave peek through the paint, to appreciate the work going into laying the final fibre layer and preserving its pleasing aesthetics.
The added colours will highlight the character of the bike and give it the personal touch in line with the customer’s taste.
For us, it is extremely precious to have the customer with us all the way through their bike’s production process. Choosing the concept, preparing the colours, design visualization and finally their ability to see the framebeing built in our workshop, all give the process a new dimension.
